The Ultimate Guide to Equilibration Time

Equilibration time in an autoclave

Equilibration time in an autoclave is defined as the period that elapses between the attainment of the minimum required sterilization temperature at the chamber reference measurement point (typically the chamber drain) and the attainment of that sterilization temperature at all points within the load (as measured by the slowest-to-heat penetration probes).
